The Weblog of Brett Singer. Bringing the world what it needs most - a blog.

Note: Sorry about all of the 'hot deals' entries (someone referred to this blog as CorporateShill.com).
The deals and things are being fed into Multineedia.com. We will soon move the deals category over to Multineedia so you don't have to read it, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    Gunther Videos

I'm alone in the office so I put on a Webjay playlist of music videos. I forgot that these Gunther videos were in there, three in a row. They might be the most ridiculous songs ever created. One is about someone who touches his Tra-La-La. One features a duet with Samantha Fox. One is called 'Tutti-Frutti Summer Love'. All are very, very frightening.

    This is Gunther. Fear him.

Boing Boing on how to extract video from Yahooligans

Sounds easy enough. Funny how nobody ever goes after these guys. I guess it's not worth it. Still, I wonder how long it'll be before the content cops come a'knocking.

    Live8 Video - Quicktime

This person made QT videos of Live8 performances.

hese are the AOL video clips from the Live 8 concert series from July 2nd...
I don’t think any of this is illegal.
If it is, does it help that I live in Canada?

Yes, of course it does. Everyone knows what a lawless, godless place Canada is.

    Google Video?

It would be a lot more useful if you could limit your searches to find only things you can actually watch.

    Rome, not Paris, is burning

If you don't believe that the world is coming to an end, watch the Corporate Commentary clip on SpicyParis.com. Here's a way to make the company spend money for doing this idiotic ad: go to google and click on the Google ad on the right instead of just going to the site. That way, somebody actually has to pay to get you to watch this crap. Favorite lines: "Paris Hilton is the biggest...blonde celebrity in the world...and it's an honor to be able to work with her." and "I don't know who's hotter, Paris or the burger." BOOM! A comet just hit the Earth!

    Star Wars Fan Film: Revelations

Watch it here. I haven't yet, but I'm curious. More are mentioned in this article, including Silent But Deadly, where Lucas sends stormtroopers out to get Internet pirates.

    MJPEG version of the video
MJPEG version, with sound, of the same video. MUCH larger file. Codec troubles with the other one. Need to check which Divx codec I have installed. Codecs are too complicated. There should be some standard for what people's computers can play. I know, that's a gross oversimplification. Still, it'd be nice.
