Que es?
The Weblog of Brett Singer. Bringing the world what it needs most - a blog.

Note: Sorry about all of the 'hot deals' entries (someone referred to this blog as CorporateShill.com).
The deals and things are being fed into Multineedia.com. We will soon move the deals category over to Multineedia so you don't have to read it, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    Treo Linux?

Now here's a story that says Palm might start using Linux.:

SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 9, 2005 — (Press Release) PalmSource, Inc., provider of Palm OS®, a leading operating system powering next generation phones and mobile devices such as the Treo, and MontaVista Software, the leading Linux provider for the telecommunications market, today announced they are teaming up to help further accelerate the development of next generation Linux-based mobile phones. PalmSource has joined MontaVista's Mobilinux Open Framework partner program; and MontaVista has joined PalmSource's Palm Powered™ Mobile World (PPMW) program. As partners, MontaVista and PalmSource can leverage their collective expertise to create integrated solutions for handset vendors and mobile operators looking to build Linux handsets.

So maybe the Windows rumor is crap.

New Treo to run Windows Mobile?

Engadget says that the new Treo 670 will be running Windows Mobile - well, maybe. They have grainy video. God, that's nerdy. Of course, here I am linking to it.

    Firefox Adblock Extension

It works OKAY. It's not perfect, but it does allow you to selectively block most ads. It seems to crash The Yankees web site because there is SO much media embedded in there. Certain pages on MySpace would probably make my computer explode. For what it's worth, here's a a direct link to the extension (xpi file), and here's the page that you can find it on.
