What animal besides a fox did developers first consider for the basis of the Firefox Web browser's logo? Strangely enough, the red panda almost made the cut as Firefox's visual namesake.

Fiorina steps down at HP, although it sounds more like she was fired. Why am I the only one who noticed that this is EXACTLY what she did at Lucent? Merging with Compaq was dumb. If you can't make a company monstrously successful with the kind of profits that their printer division turns out, you are stoopid. There's some trenchant analysis for ya. Don't feel too bad for her, though, I'm sure she made a gigantic pile of money.
