Que es?
The Weblog of Brett Singer. Bringing the world what it needs most - a blog.

Note: Sorry about all of the 'hot deals' entries (someone referred to this blog as CorporateShill.com).
The deals and things are being fed into Multineedia.com. We will soon move the deals category over to Multineedia so you don't have to read it, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    Battery Sea Power Station
I think this is a power plant. The site is VERY hard to read, uses a lot of Flash, and is generally designed less to be read than to be... I don't know, critiqued in a web design class.

    Power Station Returns

    Power Station

    No, not the band.
(Here's that Power Station, if you like that kind of thing.) This one is a little doohickey that lets you organize the stuff that you're charging - PDA, cell phone, etc. I've tried to do this manually without much success. For 20 bucks, this thing looks like a winner.

    Here's the link again.

    Sex Sells
From some sleazy 'GET FREE MP3'S HERE!' site.

    Okay, Now I'm Getting Pissed
UPDATE THE SITE! I know it sounds silly, but this really does bother me. They have a staggering amount of money, staff, etc. Nobody knows a little HTML? More likely: nobody cares. Nobody's looked. That's not good either.

    FCKeditor
I've wanted something like this for a long time - something that lets folks edit webpages in a browser. There have been commercial products, but nothing that I've seen up to this point that's 100% free. Admittedly, I don't completely have my finger on the pulse of everything, so for all I know, this has been around for awhile. Anyway, I'm happy to have found it. It's called FCKeditor - funny name, great idea.

    VoterGate MPEG
On Archive.org, a conversion of the VoterGate movie. Converted from the mp4 version cuz it's too hard to view mp4 files.

    TANKS
On Webjay TV today, TANKS stopping a protest in L.A. No really. TANKS. Unbelievable. Unfortunately, not so unbelievable. Direct video link. Full disclosure: this is an mpeg conversion of a Quicktime video from here.

    Lone Ranger radio script
Radio Script for The Lone Ranger, circa 1941. I was going to post this to del.icio.us, but it 503'd me.

    MJPEG version of the video
MJPEG version, with sound, of the same video. MUCH larger file. Codec troubles with the other one. Need to check which Divx codec I have installed. Codecs are too complicated. There should be some standard for what people's computers can play. I know, that's a gross oversimplification. Still, it'd be nice.
