This is just disturbing.
Entertainment Connection - What The Hell Is It?
There's this new piece of software called Entertainment Connection that's being pushed by BestBuy (I only discovered this through a whois lookup, the site doesn't make it obvious). It's in beta, and wants to 'help' you 'manage' your 'media'. What it really wants to do is track your media files. That's probably not entirely fair, but it's also not necessarily UNfair. I want to try it, but I really don't want to try it on a computer I use for work. Or one that has mp3 files I don't want 'tagged' but this friggin' thing. DRM is a very very annoying thing, and may eventually drive me (and some other people) away from Windows.
